Autumn is here
posted September 1 :::
Work on Autumn Leaves wrapped up last night at 3:28am, when my eMac spit out a finished DVD. I don't easily get out of bed in the middle of the night, but it was a good feeling to put it in the DVD player and see the finished product.
So what's next?
1) The Autumn Leaves trailer is edited and should be up on the site within a couple of weeks.
2) Autumn Leaves will be sent out to more film festivals. I shipped a DVD today to the Ann Arbor Film Festival (which should amuse people who know me a little); the SMMASH Festival in Minneapolis is next on the horizon. (I'm still waiting to hear from the festivals I sent a rough cut to in June. Which leads to #3...)
3) The Autumn Leaves premier is still up in the air. If it's accepted at the Ohio Independent Film Festival (which takes place in Cleveland in November), that will be the premier, with a Cincinnati premier some time thereafter. If it's turned down, I'm free to have the Cincy premier whenever I'd like (I'm thinking mid-October). Check back to the site for updates on the premier/festival situation.
Finally, thanks again to everyone -- cast, crew, friends, family -- who helped bring Autumn Leaves to life. I think you'll be pleased with how it turned out.
