Autumn Leaves gets its passport
posted February 19 :::
Autumn Leaves has been accepted at the Swansea Bay Film Festival in Wales. The festival, which runs June 3-9, 2006, will mark the European debut of Autumn Leaves.
Autumn Leaves will be screened at the Swansea Film Fest on Wednesday, June 7 at 2pm, as part of a double feature with the movie Welcome to September. The screening will take place at the Dylan Thomas Centre.
In addition, the Autumn Leaves trailer can be linked to from the Swansea Film Festival’s web site, along with trailers for other movies accepted by the festival. (Click on “trailers,” and then click on “more” until you get to the Autumn Leaves trailer. It will take a few clicks, but it’s on there.) Nominations for awards at the festival will be determined by the general public. Starting April 1, you will have the chance to go on-line and vote for your favorite trailer. On-line voting concludes May 7.
By a happy coincidence, a new and improved version of the Autumn Leaves trailer will be available on this site soon. My web hosting company has increased the site’s capacity, allowing us to feature a trailer with better visual quality. Look for that soon.
Swansea is located in South Wales and is about a three and a half hour drive from London. This is the first Swansea Bay Film Festival, which will feature movies from Wales as well as movies from around the world. I was actually contacted by the festival and asked to submit Autumn Leaves after the festival’s director saw the Autumn Leaves trailer online.
