Autumn Leaves: Rough and Ready

The rough cut is ready. Editor Michael Wooten and I met on Tuesday, May 31, to do some more work on Autumn Leaves and put a rough cut of the movie on videotape. I'm planning to submit copies of the movie next week to the Ohio Independent Film Festival and the Mid by Midwest Festival in Milwaukee.
There will still be a few finishing touches to put on AL before it’s complete, including adding in music and foley material, building in transitions between sequences (I’m planning on using title cards to bridge the transitions from the Matt/Deb part of the story to the Katie/Jason part, rather like Woody Allen’s Hannah and her Sisters), and creating the opening and closing credits (last fall I shot a variety of autumn leaves to create a visual sequence for the opening). Plus some other things I’m forgetting at the moment. But the bottom line is Autumn Leaves is nearing completion.
