Commies at the Prom

It was a reunion of sorts – and a chance to dress up – when the Autumn Leaves cast got together to shoot the Prom night scene in my next movie, A Brief History of the Grand Falls Communist Party. The scene was shot August 5 in Cincinnati with Elizabeth Goffena, Jeremy Greenwell, Matt Mulcahey and Sarah Schulte, as well as Jason Tiberi, who is making his movie debut in Grand Falls.
At this stage, I’d estimate that 90% of the footage needed for Grand Falls is in the can – and more than that, has been edited. Interviews with the principal cast were shot in April-June; the main challenge now is filling in a few pieces to keep the mockumentary moving. There’s still a fair amount of post work to do, such as mixing the sound and rendering the video to a letterbox format, but I’m hopeful Grand Falls will be finished by the end of the year.
