Sarah Schulte Grabs Best Supporting Actress Nomination

posted October 6 :::

The SMMASH Film Festival announced nominations for their awards today, and Sarah Schulte, who plays Deb in Autumn Leaves, was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. The winners will be announced at an awards banquet on Sunday, October 30. If she wins, Sarah will be the proud recipient of a SMMASH Good Taste Award, and will take home the coveted "Tastie."

Autumn Leaves will make its world premier st the SMMASH Film Festival in Excelsior, Minnesota on Friday, October 21 at 3:30pm, with a second screening on Sunday, October 23 at 9:30pm. Both shows will be in Theater 1 at the Dock Theater.

You can check out Sarah's competition, all the other nominees, and the full lineup of SMMASH Festival movies at www.smmashfest.com. Congratulations Sarah!

Celebrity notes: Jeremy and Matt lost out to (among others) John Cleese (yes, that John Cleese) for a Best Supporting Actor Nomination (no shame in that). Also among the nominees is Mayim Bialik, star of NBC's early 90's, Joey Lawrence-fifteen-minutes-of-fame-launching sitcom Blossom. All of which reminds me that I need to get Autumn Leaves listed on imdb, where you can confirm obscure facts like these.
